The Quick 50 Program is offered to area schools by The Wood County Crime Stoppers. We are currently sponsoring programs at area High Schools.
The purpose of Quick 50 is to make our schools safer by encouraging the reporting of weapons, drugs, or alcohol which are on the school premises. $50 is paid for information resulting in the arrest and confiscation of a weapon, an illegal drug, or alcohol.
Students with information may talk with their school's Police Liaison Officer. While they will not remain anonymous, the information is kept confidential. The Police Liaison Officers can pay a $50 reward "on the spot" for information that leads to an arrest and the removal of weapons, drugs, or alcohol from school property.
Students wishing to remain anonymous may submit tips using the website or 1(877)325-STOP (7867). These tips will not be part of the Quick 50 program but are eligible for reward.
Due to this program the schools are a safer place for kids to learn thanks to tips from the Quick 50 program.
